As you know tomorrow marks the 5 year anniversary of the darkest day in history.Please remember to pause for the ones who lost there lives that day and keep our military in your prayers!!! NEVER FORGET 9-11-01...

I stare in total disbelief,
heart torn with instant grief.
Plumes of black smoke fill the air,
marking a building no longer there.
I close my eyes, I want to pray,
but my mind doesn't know what to say.
Much like Pearl harbor, so many years ago,
so many gone with one fatal blow.
There are no words to explain,
there are no words to ease the pain.
To those who gave their lives,
Mothers, Fathers, Husbands and Wives,
to all who's lives today did cease,
may your soul find instant peace.
We will honor you and the life you gave,
as a Patriot of "The Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave."

I have to say I completely agree with Kymra. And I'll even expand on that. This is going to sound awful and 100% cold, but I am so fucking sick of hearing about 9/11. We CAN'T forget because every single day in the news, at least here in NY, it's mentioned many times. I'm not saying we need to forget about it, but we need to be able to get past it and grow up. You have no idea how pissed I get when every other car out here has some sort of sticker on it that I have to stare at in this hidious traffic; either "Never Forget" or "9-11-01" where the 11 is actually a picture of the towers or "These Colors Don't Bleed", or some sort of salute to someone who was killed printed on the driver-asshole's windshield.

We seriously need to grow the fuck up, deal with it, and move on. That will never happen if every other asshole wears a shirt or slaps a sticker on their car begging for sympathy.

We all have our own tragedies in our personal lives but we don't have t-shirts made when it happens. I know many many many many people were directly affected. And I'm not arguing that this wasn't a huge lifestyle-altering event. And I was really upset and I did suffer from a bleeding, scared heart when it happened, but enough is enough. It can't be healthy to keep focusing on this the way we (as a country) do.
