So here it is a topic very close to my heart.

What are your top 5 bands?
Now they dont have to be in any particular order or from any particular decade or country.
I'm interested in what music people listen to other than LIVE.
you could even ad reasons why or how you happened to come across these bands.
I am currently stuck for new bands from any generation to ad to my collection as many modern bands bore the life out of me so please post!

All of these bands have had a major impact on my life in one way or another.
For LZ they were the first rock band i ever heard and new the moment i heard them that i wanted to bea rock god! IM blow me away with there story telling imagry in songs like rhyme of the ancient mariner and hallowed be thy name THE CLASH just rock! its hard to remember when i first heard them but all i know is they are the greatest punk band ever! THE WHO are a band that won me over with their stage antics smash guitars, amp, drum kits and playing at 120 decibels!

AS for LIVE it was my best friend and now my hetrosexual life partner who turned me on to LIVE and have loved EDS lyrics and the over all bands playing in such a way that it seems that the songs made the band not the other way round.
