I know that one of the many reasons live is so greatly loved is for their amazing lyrics in their songs....many of us Live fans talk about how much we like the lyrics and i wanted to know which lyrics are your favorite...or which song u think has the best chorus...the lyric doesnt have to be the whole song maybe just a line from the song....if u feel the need u can also tell ur least fave lyric as well...im undecided on my favorite lyrics but here are a few that really stick out to me...


"are we locked into these bodies, are we anything at all, lets hold out for something sweeter, spread your wings and fly..."~ the distance

"the blade is not ready to cut..its dull from our thinking, its rough.."~unsheathed

"dont believe the world is empty, just too noisy to hear the sound"~feel the quiet river rage

i also think that many can agree with me when i say that run to the water is a very lyrically great song!! enjoy everyone...im eager to hear everyones opinons!!

I recently saw them for the 1st time in Reading on the 27th. I had tears running down my face during DWY.

I can't say it was one actual lyric, or just the honesty of the whole moment.

If I had to pick.. it would be

"in this altered state
full of so much pain and rage
you know we got to find a way to let it go"

simply b/c of what it means to me right now.


But.. to just pick a lyric that I just love love love.. it would be..

"in a moment we lost our minds here
and dreamt the world was round
a million mile fall from grace
thank god we missed the ground"

AND...

"with a nuclear fire of love in our hearts"

Can I just say ALL of Run to the Water?!?

run to the water is just a downright amazing song!! i say all of it too...and all of dance with you..i saw them in concert at the collge world series and dance with you was amazing!!

I love the lyrics of "Run to the water", "Where fishes go", "They stood up for love" (especially:"Who put the flower to the barrel of that gun?"), "Simple creed" ("I wait for you to take my hand, cuz we need each other, we got to love each other") ,"Overcome" and "Wings".

They can all give me the creeps and bring tears into my eyes.

I'm sorry, but I'm really seriously agreeing with Ed that this world has a lack of love.
I'm serious about this.

And I don't show my love enough to other people too.
And I don't do enough to end violence.
So I blame myself for it too.

Not to be too far out, I agree with you too. And that's why I too was soo moved by the song at the concert. I've been a fan, but never seen them in concert. Now I'm commited. But its not the music, or how they look. Its what they say.

Their words.

Since hearing Dance With You in concert, I've had a whole nother perspective. People may think its crazy, but it moved me. I won't go into detail, but music is therapeutic. Its inspiring.

So yeah, I get you. I know what you mean! smile.gif

You know: what Ed sings about the need to love each other and the desire and the will to reach worldpeace (in almost all Live-songs) is something I take very seriously and it IS how I feel about the world and mankind too!
And I take it very seriously.
And that's why it hurts me if people make fun of the lyrics.
I don't mind to make fun of the fact that I think that Ed and Adam are good looking men, I don't mind if people do something with their music although I love their music too, but I DO mind If people make fun of the lyrics.

I feel pain when I think of all misery in the world which we don't need, we need to get rid of that.

And no, I don't want to dive from a bridge or anyone else to dive from a bridge or something and further I'm not depressed.
And I don't want people to call it naive if you want violence to end and worldpeace to come.

I would like it if we all take Ed's lyrics seriously and REALLY try to do something with it!
That's how I feel.
