i have a question Options

i think LIVE has the best sound out of any band that i've ever heard. with that being said.... what is ed singing about?

he sounds like he's pro-God, but maybe not so much of a Jesus fan. but, yet on his my space account he has Jesus as a hero of his.

also, in the video of selling the drama it shows ed ripping pages out of a book that, to me, looks like the Bible.

also, in the song operation spirit, he says that Jesus doesn't mean anything to him. is he saying that's the way he "was", and he's changed, or is that just the way he is?

i'm a Christian, and i can't help but let these questions run through my head. please someone enlighten me, thanks.

i asked someone on a different board that i thought might have a better answer for you, and this is what they said:

Hey gotigerz, tough question huh? I think it's a depends question. In other words it depends on what the "Hard times" are caused by. God looks at things totally different than we do (His priorities are different) For instance, if by allowing someone to go through tough times, an indavidual turns to God and is saved then the tough times served there purpose, and the salvation is of course their reward. We grow through adversity, when things are going good we tend to drift away from God, but when things are going bad we seek God and are forced to rely on Him, this in term strenthens our faith, which is important to God. Now if I understand your question, we will be rewarded for our work. As Jesus said in Mat 6:19-20

19"Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

I believe those treasures are given for a Christian's work. If a Christian suffers for Christ then I feel that his rewards will be great in Heavan.

"If it is hard for the righteous to be saved,

19So then, those who suffer according to God's will should commit themselves to their faithful Creator and continue to do good.

In conclusion, from what I read that if we go through hard times for Christ sake then yes, I feel we will have greater rewards in heaven. But just going through hard times for hard time sake? No I don't believe we will be rewarded for that. Just remember one thing though, God is a perfect judge, and he does take all things into account. Hope this helps
