Thanks for posting this. He gave them an 8.8 as a show but then took a half point away for it really being The Ed Show instead of the band Live with the original members. He saw them back in 1991 before MJ came out and thought that was a fantastic show, yet he rates this an 8.8? Sure. I started seeing them back in 1997 and there's no way that today's Live is even close to yester-Live.

I totally agree with him that Ed's using Live since he can't fill a bigger venue like this as just "Ed Kowalczyk." I'm sure Ed's getting more money for touring as Live than he would as himself as well.

I give the concerts a 5 at best. They're a Live cover band that just so happens to have the original singer/songwriter on vocals and rhythm guitar. My bigger problem is that Zak still can't hold a candle to CT even a decade later (he started on rhythm guitar back in 2016), and Johnny Radelat isn't doing the songs justice on drums. It looks like he's trying, I'll give him that, but the songs are missing the subtleties that make them whole.

Most casual listeners don't notice any of that stuff, so the mediocrity continues. They're passable live versions of the songs that people remember from 30+ years ago, and $60 is worth a 90 minute trip down memory lane.
