In a recent video, Chad Taylor has performed alongside Chad Gracey in one of his drum videos.

Chad Gracey has been mentioning in his The Gracious Two podcasts that the relationship between him and Taylor has been getting better. Looks like this is another step in repairing their friendship.

I wasn't initially going to listen to it for a variety of reasons, but I just finished it and it was really cool and insightful. Worth the 2 hours. I miss them.

They spend a bit of time at the start talking about the new LJ drum video and how they both received comments that it looked like CT was on a green screen, and I have to agree. Something about it looks wrong and I can't put my finger on it. There are views of CG where you should be able to see CT and you can't (in some angles you can barely see the guitar headstock), the lighting doesn't look the same between the CG and CT angles, they do not interact at all (that's my biggest red flag), and I'm still not 100% sure that CT was actually playing guitar live. I enjoyed watching it, but something just felt off. Watching it back again, he also doesn't play the solo at the end, just the rhythm. Weird.

I also found it strange that he used a Gibson instead of Ruby Lou, but that's because all his Jazzmasters are apparently packed away, which he talks about at the very end of the podcast. It's super interesting that they used a newly remixed version of LJ from when Shinn re-recorded a few of the classics. I've heard AOY, IA, STD and LC from back in 2011, but I guess I didn't know they also did LJ. I hope they release it, but you can grab the audio from the video and call it good. If you want it, copy the YouTube URL and use the free website called Cobalt (https://cobalt.tools) to download it.

CT's favorite album is Secret Samadhi because it's the one where they were all firing on all cylinders and there for the music. I have to agree. I think SS is their best work. He also tells a cool story about Graze and the Chameleon Club I hadn't heard before.

I hope the Chads make a podcast and share the "over 20 albums worth" of audio they have. CT compared it to Prince's vault. Super interesting. CT also has a spreadsheet with over 3,000 entries of every day they did things as a band, and CG said that each ep could be one entry.
