I did not think a great deal of this performance, there was nothing overtly wrong with it, but the whole thing was lacklustre, and the band just have not nailed the intricacies of the various parts. Based on this I would not shell out to see them if they came to the UK.

STP's set was embarassingly better than this, now that is how you put on a rock show.

I wasn't going to comment on this thread, but this post perfectly captures how I feel about the current iteration of Live and I'm not sure if it's because Ed's in "eff it I'm Live and can do whatever" mode, because they're not actually trying capture the essence of the songs as a cohesive band and are just getting through them (even though they can't replace what Chad/Chad/Pat actually bring to the table, then can at least try to give a shit), Ed's phoning it in for the money, or a bit of all of it. I'm very, very torn on the whole thing.

I also wasn't going to fork over the $15 after watching several other YouTube videos of the same setlist at different venues and already having this opinion of Live, but I wanted to support Veeps for making it available and give the bands some coin at the same time. I haven't watched STP's performance yet, but the few random videos I've watched on YouTube of recent shows have been pretty cool, so I'm excited about that.

I feel that STP crushing it is also how I felt about Bush after seeing them with Live back in 2019. Bush easily played Live under the table, which made me sad.

Is it ironic yet that seeing Live live isn't what it used to be? Now seeing them live is ho hum at best, but man, back in 1996-1999 they were unstoppable.

I went to the PNC show and unfortunately agree with all of the above. I’ve been to ~50 shows and this one seemed lackluster without any passion. The songs and Ed’s voice is still great but there’s something missing. I also think that the current version of Ed is a much better performer in the acoustic/smaller venue setting where he can really shine. His stage presence in a “rock and roll” concert format is not close to what it used to be.
