I would classify that as voting against the media propped up version of Biden more than voting for Trump.

In some cases possibly, but still, that doesn't excuse actively enabling Trump. On top of which, I feel like Gracey supported/voted for him in 2016 so the Biden factor is minimized? Pinch of salt on that, though. Can't remember if it's an established thing or something I've just inferred.

I only say any of this to say that if Gracey deserves criticism it's not for his political views. People need to get over the fact that he might not be the far-left progressive woke-boi most 90s bands were/are. But more importantly... people just need to keep the fucking political tribalism out of this, regardless of what your views are. No one has a monopoly on being One Hundred Percent Right On Every Issue.

I've no real issue with him moving from the left to the right as he's gotten older (if indeed he has), I understand that it's a path many people walk (even those who haven't earned loads of money along the way). But it's specifically supporting Trump. That's just another level entirely.

As for keeping the political tribalism out of this, well... I get you, but then we're already well beyond the music and wading waist deep in he-said-she-said garbage anyway. At this point things that speak to their character, honesty, basic decency... it's all relevant. Gracey and Thrillingsworth have shown themselves to be perfectly happy insulting fans, swimming around in conspiracy theories and aligning themselves with a political movement which is the absolute epitome of post-truth insanity. So while I've no doubt CT is himself full of shit, nobody should take Gracey and Thrillton at face value. You'd have to be an idiot, frankly.
