Cool interview. Chad much more engaged. Not a ton of new info but some interesting comments. Chad did say there was one source of drama in the band. They haven’t gotten together to make any new music yet but will be touring by the end of the year. Ed seems to be coordinating.

Enjoyable interview. Chad Gracey revealed some interesting information. The director of The Fast and the Furious wanted to make a music video for the band for "Deep Enough" but the record label rejected the idea. Chad also said that Live wanted to release Overcome as a single and donate profits to a 9/11 related charity but the record label also didn't allow the band to do that.

Chad Gracey also shed some light on the reason for the break-up in 2009. Apparently Ed told Chad Taylor that he only wanted to take a break from Live for 2 years do so a solo thing but Chad Taylor didn't pass on that information to the rest of the band. Chad Gracey said he would have been happy for Ed to go his own way.

Also, the remix of Lightning Crashes indirectly caused the band to cut ties with Chad Taylor. Live's manager Chris Hardin was approached by Avira to do a remix of Lightning Crashes and Ed decided to re-record the lyrics so that Universal wouldn't have any copyright over the new version of the track. Chad Taylor wasn't happy with this and there was conflict between himself and Ed. That's when Chad Gracey and Ed decided that Chad would no longer be in the band.

Regarding The Turn. Chad Gracey says he has mixed feeling about pulling the album from circulation. He said it was done to appease Ed. Chad says that he knew that having Chris as a singer would be temporary and the Ed would eventually come back. Chad Gracey also mentioned that he would never ask Ed to play songs from The Turn in concert.

Shows will be occurring by the end of the year.

When Ed re-joined the band he was given 40% of the band. Chad Taylor took 30% Patrick and Chad Gracey received 15% each. Previously it used to be 25% each. When Ed mentioned he had 55% of the band he was referring to the fact that he and Chad Gracey (who would vote together) controlled 55% of the band.

Re: I Alone. The video was shot with Chad Gracey on drums but then the director told Chad to remove the drums from the set.

Chris Daughtry attended shows to see Live in the 90's and was even back stage a few times.

Patrick heard that Daughtry's bass player was unavailable for while so he contacted Chris and offered to fill in.

Chad Gracey is happy should Ed want to do a side project. Chad would also like to get The Gracious Few back together and it was a fun record to make.
