I’ve been seeing their name pop up a lot and finally decided to click on a You Tube vid. I watched “When the Curtain Falls” on Jimmy Fallon. I’ve watched it 8 times in a row now. My thoughts... “They are very Led Zep” “Hippies “ Am I going to be able to take this singer seriously” “ They are young” “How long have they been around” “How late am I to the party?” “They SHRED!”

Needless to say, I’m intrigued enough to buy their album. I think I’m a new fan. I haven’t ran across any one new I’ve liked in a while.

Their new album, The Battle At Garden’s Gate, dropped today. I don’t think I’ve looked more forward to any album dropping than this since Secret Samadhi. Been listening all day and GVF did not disappoint. ABSOLUTELY MAGICAL. My favorite so far is Broken Bells (subject to change). Do yourself a favor and listen.

I listened to the album today having never heard them before. Heat Above is a terrific song and catchy as hell. They're all good musicians but the dude's vocals are out there.. maybe a bit too extreme for mine. I imagine he is polarising to many listeners. I'll give it another spin and see if they grow on me.
