Imagine: only one of the CCP-albums between 2010 en 2014 was made, which one would you choose?
Maybe a stupid discussion, as we got both haha, but just to push everyone to think about which is their favorite. They aren't really comparable as they have two quite different sounding singers plus the genre is not the same: classic rock (kind of a Led Zeppelin throwback feel) vs modern rock with bigh LIVE influences (tho not exactly LIVE to me). But the fact they are both made during the hiatus and both are made by CCP as the driving force, I think it's nice to compare them anyway.

The first time i listened to some of the songs on TGF I remember thinking that it wasn’t that good and I didn’t listen to the album again for years. Honest Man I liked but everything else I just didn’t care for.

When The Turn came out I bought it the same day (Google Play!) and thought it was great. Not every song, but more than enough to make it a good album. I listened to it a lot those first weeks out.

Now I rarely listen to The Turn but find myself playing TGF fairly frequently and listening to every song. It’s not my favorite album but I have an appreciation for it and think it’s really, really good.

Another interesting thing I remember. Shortly after TGF was released (or maybe it was a while after) I was in a Best Buy looking for a cd for a long car ride. In one hand I had TGF and in the other I had Alive. Ultimately I chose to buy Alive (a purchase I do not necessarily regret). That’s not interesting because of the choice I made but because once upon a time you could actually find Ed solo and TGF in big box retail stores.

I wonder if Local 717 ever saw the inside of a store.
