Tomorrow I'll be seeing Live for about the 10th time (give or take). I'll admit my expectations are pretty low, and I'm probably more interested in seeing Our Lady Peace and Bush than Live. I'm okay with that. As I've grown and Live has not (musically), they truly have become a "Legacy Act" as far as I'm concerned, and frankly I'm okay with that. Sure, it would blow my mind if they unveiled a hidden gem, but I know the chances of that are a big fat zero.

This will be my first time seeing Live since 2013 and first time with Ed since 2008, and even by then the magic had started to fade since the first time I saw them in 2000 in Peoria, IL. Hopefully, with the help of some inebriation, I can be taken back to a time when Live truly meant something to me and gave me a sense that there was something bigger than me, and more magical out in the world, or in a level of being that I could attain to.

I'll be watching the show with my 6 yr old son who was about 8 months old when I took him to his first Live show (back in 2013), so hopefully I can see a glimmer of that magic that I've since lost. We will see, and ALWAYS let the good times roll.

I'm going to keep this short. Bush/Gavin had much more energy. The only songs from Live the got me pumped and gave me any kind of nostalgia for when I first saw them in concern 19 years ago was Shit Towne and White, Discussion. The rest was ho hum.

I agree with the reviewer, clearly Ed is requesting that his mic be put at a much louder volume than the rest of the band, and it's a shame. Gavin's vocals were not nearly as loud and accentuated his band more, which the crowd probably enjoyed more.

I walked out during Lightning Crashes to beat the traffic.

Unless Live decides to release a decent album and tour smaller venues, or with other bands I want to see, that was likely my last Live show for a very long time.

Yep, they’re the same shitty band they’ve been for well more than half their career now. There are kids starting college this year that are younger than their last unanimously great song.
