I attended the Tucson show on August 11. To start, the band sounds very good and
was on point. Ed interacted with the audience well. But there was no going into the crowd moments like at other shows.

Even though they sound very good, I'm starting to agree they are "mailing it in" like I've seen mentioned on here in other threads. They've reduced the set to 12 songs which is down by 2 since this tour started. The songs taken out are TDAOC and Iris. This is a huge letdown. Why the hell can't they remove the boring covers instead? Losing my Religion almost put people to sleep. Also, they finally released Hold Me Up and still could care less to try and play it. It's too easy to just play the hits and be done with it.

Chad T. moved around a little and did the "stomp", but not nearly as much as I've seen in all the other videos of previous shows. Patrick just basically stood there the whole time. Chad T. and Patrick seem like they are trying to dress as twins with the weird hats and heavy jackets too. Chad finally took his jacket off half way through the set as it was like 105 out during this show. Are they trying to hide that they've gained weight or something with those dark heavy jackets?

Anyways, it was a decent show, but definitely very ordinary and not one that stands out. Which is the norm for Live these days.

I thought the same about Patrick, but then he’s always been bashful or something, really. Now that he’s older, it’s even less that he moves around. He NEVER interacts with fans. I was in front row, and I don’t think he ever looked at any of the fans once. I prefer standing on Chad T.’s side. I can tell he’s having a blast, Ed too, although at my show Ed never went down in the crowd either. He also stayed mostly central and on Pat’s side of the stage. Chad T. puts forth a lot of effort to acknowledge fans, and I super admire that. I don’t know what to tell you about Chad and Pat’s stage clothes though. lol It could be because of weight insecurity, but oh well. It happens to the best of us. At least their coats aren’t covered as if they rolled in chalk dust anymore. lol.gif

I agree with everything else you stated.

Did they still do the intro on the video screen?

Yes and I think that is really cool how they did the video intro and the little jam that goes into All Over You to open the show. Still would've preferred TDAOC as the opener though. I'm over (no pun intended) All Over You, it's the same to me as Metallica playing Sad But True and Seek and Destroy in every set.
