Why are the setlists getting shorter? Live started the tour playing 14 and now it's down to 12.

Also, it seemed like Ed took more breaks during the songs and pointed the mic to the audience accordingly than he usually does. As others have pointed out, I think cutting songs to preserve Ed's voice is a valid theory. However, Ed did point the mic to audience way less during Lightning Crashes than he normally does.

What's also shocking is they didn't sell TC25 at the merch table. You'd think they'd plug TC25 and play Hold Me Up to get people to impulse buy, but alas that's not what they're doing.

The second drummer seems unnecessary except for when he plays tambourine or shaker.

Zak played all the speciality instruments, such as the mandolin for Losing my Religion and a specific guitar for Paint it Black. Many on here have said this is Zak's band now but I'm not really sure what they mean by that?

I don't find that shocking at all. It's a hassle to bring CDs on tour for many reasons.

Venues take a percentage of all sales. This percentage varies from venue to venue. Some venues take as much as 30% from the gross on all sales. Other venues have different percentages based on different products. For example, a venue might take a cut like this: t-shirts 20%; media 30%; paper goods 15%, etc. Live would have to give the venue between 10-30% of all gross sales if they sold TC25 on the road. That means they would need to increase the price at the merch table.

This also answers the questions people have when tour merch goes on sale on a band's website with prices lower than they were on tour.

Another reason to not bring TC25 out is that there will be loss/theft/returns. Some people must have mint condition, so they will stand at the merch booth and request multiple copies to choose from. Any broken or damaged TC25s as a result of tour life would be useless for resale. Bringing vinyl to shows, especially in summer months, is a huge liability. Vinyl being transported each day in a huge metal trailer is not ideal.
