Why are the setlists getting shorter? Live started the tour playing 14 and now it's down to 12.

One last thing about the setlists for all three bands. This is clearly designed for a casual fan audience member to hear the hits and go home. No time wasted hearing songs the average person doesn't know. I think that's a big reason for the covers. Live doesn't have two more hits the average person would know. So instead of playing Hold Me Up or Operation Spirit, they play a cover and the crowd goes crazy. Both Live and Bush kept the casual's attention for 70 minutes, which isn't the easiest thing to do when you only have 5/6 well-known hits. Live fills their time with covers, Bush fills the time with extending their songs musically.

Very good perspective. I heard from some fans that Ed was a bit hoarse last week, maybe he cut a song or two to preserve his voice.
