“Freaking Hilarious Setlist Opinions” is the title of this thread, because that’s what it seems possibly the real Chad Gracey commented two hours ago on the FOL Facebook setlist discussion, and I’m quite taken aback by that. What are we, chopped liver? The conversation includes Bill Hynes telling fans that promoters demand artists play certain songs. I don’t see a promoter demanding Līve play “Losing My Religion” and “Paint It Black.” Hynes also took offense to someone calling this a money grab. -That it is indeed a money grab because this is how Līve pays their bills.— I totally get that. I have no problem helping Līve pay their bills, but that goes two ways here. I freaking work my ass off too, for way less. And I bought a concert ticket and am driving 8 hours away because all I wanted to see and hear this summer was my all time favorite band play “Hold Me Up”, not “Losing My Religion.” Now for CG to say that my (fans) opinions are freaking hilarious is rubbing salt in my wound.

Bill Hynes: You do realize your comment about “money grabbing” is stupid. This is how they MAKE their money to provide for their families. Everything that ANY artist does is a money grab. It has to be. They have bills just like you do. If your a fan of an artist you should happily go an support them. But it hasn’t always been that way. “fan” have stolen music, shared music with friends etc. the music industry continues to screw the artists out of royalties. You know those tour buses, the crews, the stages, the lights, the sound. That all cost money. Guess what else. The PROMOTORS tell them what to play. They will out in the contract “play these songs and only these songs”. Fans who don’t want their favorite artists to make money are not fans.

Chad Gracey: The premise of this whole thread is the problem with the internet and most people in general. Everything is a complaint about something or someone. Its nauseating and contagious. Someone says something negative then it just snowballs. I'm guilty of it...everyone is but jeez just be happy. We overcame all the adversity between us, we are all still LIVING and we can all still play music for you guys. Celebrate it! Instead of tearing it down because you didn't hear the song you wanted. And yeah we make money but this is our job and luckily we can still do it. Thanks to all the positive fans out there and to the people that want to criticize, try turning it into something positive.
