I've seen a lot nonsense about crowd size recently.

Doesn't the size of the crowd speak more to counting crows and the stupid pricing structure?

Tickets have been and are still available for just about every show. Really good spots are avaialble if you are willing to spend $250 a ticket.

Well, the Cleveland show had a pretty packed pavillion so no upgrades were given. Most of the people there , at least on the lawn, appeared to be Counting Crows fans and many of them arrived toward the end of Live’s set. I had one group sit directly behind me on the lawn and loudly state that hopefully they did not miss Lightning Crashes because it is the only song they like. Overall, the crowd on the lawn was pretty subdued until they played Lightning Crashes. I did see some more enthusiasm from the pavillion crowd, however.

I think the crowds are mainly there to see both bands. 7:30 is an early start time for a band to start a set. The end of Live's set is when the most people are at the shows. As Counting Crows goes on with their set, they lose more and more fans.

In Atlantic City, i stayed for the CC. A decent show, with a boring middle. I would say that nearly half the people were gone by the end of their set.

It’s so weird to me, to think that you truly believe that people can’t get to a show at 7:30pm. I live in one of the worst traffic areas in the country and I was at my show in plenty of time to see Live. In fact, I even worked a full day, had some BBQ with my friends before the show, drove 50 minutes to get to the place, and even played cornhole and drank beers in the venue parking lot for an hour before I meandered into the security line. I still had time to check out the merch booth, and buy a beer.

If you are there to see Live you would be there at the beginning of their set. Plain and simple.

The way you fantasize about it, you make it as if people only want to see the last half of one band, and the first half of the second, and that’s what’s going on. sarcasm.gif

Atlantic City Show, Live went on 850, full house at the start of their set. Set time has a lot to do with this tour.

Most people going to these shows are there just to see a concert. Live has their hardcore fans, so does Counting Crows, but a good number this tour are just casual fans of 90s music.

Spot on and that will be Live's bread and butter until they decide to go their separate ways (again).

They will never be able to fill big venues by themselves so teaming up with another nostalgia act seems like a wise move now and moving forward.

This formula works perfectly for them. They will never have to practice and can keep the same core 15 songs in rotation for their sets. Gravy!
