First ECCP single in 10 years is called 'Love Lounge', To be released in June Options

Most likely the first single since 'Forever' will be released next month
'Love Lounge'. I haven't decided yet if this is a really dumb or really cool title.
Anyway, let the speculation begin!!!!

Reviews are interesting for their own sake so its always fun to see what other people think, though I personally don't care what the reviews say or what they do in a live setting for that matter. I always have fun at their live shows no matter what they sing for the sheer fact that I'm seeing them live. What I want is for Ed to get back to exploring the deeper philosophies of krishnamurti...or something!


This band used to sing about PHILOSOPHY. The new song is great and I like a good pop rock song like the next middle aged man, but can anyone here honestly say they would tattoo a lyric from Love Lounge on their body? Full disclosure here...I don't have a single tatt, but I have many times contemplated in my younger years getting 'I've often tried to hold the sea'...or 'this is how I'll go out tonight"...or 'let's get it back together"... or just 'live' (much to the absolute HORROR of my family and friends) but the fact I didn't go through with it is more a personality thing than anything else. Whether you are over that kind of dedication to art due to age or , like me, just not a tatt person, is irrelevant because I think we can all appreciate the power that a song or lyric can have over your attitude/psyche/perspective on life. I'm 34 and I don't reeeealy care but....I still kind of do.

This band used to (and still does when I allow myself to delve into their catalogue) make me think about life in a different way. I was challenged by mental jewelery and throwing copper to question my ideas about faith and religion and, while I've come back to a more *yawn* traditional point of view, the journey to get here was one that Live is responsible for. I want ED, because he IS the pilot of this fucken thing, to get back to being that weird deep thinker that doesn't care about mainstream success and puts out his weird as fuck interpretations on life and being and whatever else other people don't sing about.

There was a post here years ago, couldn't find it, but it was a press release from the band for mental jewelery in the style of a newspaper article, with a mission statement where they were basically saying they are gonna change the world with their album...I mean....THAT is what this band is really about. The Turn brought the rock back for sure, but I want the philosophy and the passion and the meaning and that has to come from the pilot.
