You’ve done the acoustic “intimate” tours in recent years. Most of us hard core fans still absolutely love the mid-90s MTV Unplugged session. Any chance the whole band can do a smaller venue acoustic tour like that in the future?

do you plan to ever play anything off Death of a Dictionary or rerelease it? Mine is all tore up!

Pat alluded to it yesterday but can you please say whether LIVE will make it to the UK this year or next?
Anything is possible, but I think it's more likely that we will get to London next year

Is there any chance of feel quiet river rage to be played on the this tour or a tour coming in the future. It one of my favorite song in the world

As you've dug through older Live album deep cuts in preparation for gigs, have there been any "forgotten" tracks that you've really re-connected with spiritually/lyrically? Or is it safe to say that all of your writing remains "top of mind" to this day?
well, we aren't playing anything super deep in terms of older albums cuts...so everything is pretty "top of mind" as you put it...I feel like I've reconnected to the whole entire show in a new way tho, all the songs, since the band is back together

with "Throwing Copper" reaching the 25 year milestone next year, is there a chance you will tour, and play this amazing album in its entirety?.. Red Rocks / Colorado, maybe..
Red Rocks would be great...absolutely love playing there...and yeah, I'm sure we'll get up to something around the 25th of TC

this music bowl spot in Melbourne on the last tour down there was amazing...got me thinking I'd like to play at the Hollywood Bowl someday..unless they reopen CBGB , then that goes to #1

G'day Ed, what would you say is one difference in your / band's approach to creating / writing new music today; compared to Throwing Copper, SS eras? Secondly if you could do an REM cover, what song would you chose?

Its basically the same, some riffs that become songs and then me brining songs that are mostly finished and we put our band stamp on 'em..Begin the Begin! REM

What type of music are your kids into, does Dad influence them with their choices?
Ana is a huge Bowie fan,Natasha loves Led Zeppelin, so dad's VERY happy! the little ones, well, the soundtrack to sponge bob squarepants is always amazing..I gotta agree with them on that...I'm sure they will get lots of pointers from me and their big sisters!

I like to play "The Distance" a lot...and yes, been mistaken for him a ton of times...I actually had this guy in Hawaii give me a ton of free crafts he was making cuz he thought I was Agassi...I kept telling him I wasn't him, but he wouldn't believe it..so I took the stuff and gave it to my kids, thanks dude!
