I attended this show with a couple friends and my wife.

Briefly on the support acts; all of us felt pretty sorry for Alex Band whom looks like he hasn't seen the sun in a long time, was smoking something as he came on stage...he gently molested a few calling songs before full on raping with or without you. In fairness he sounded ok, but the sick appearance and outfit and dancing was off putting - plus his band were clearly not that into it which didn't help the poor guy. He mentioned the marriage equality thing to equal parts cheers and groans. Personally I think if he had done an acoustic set highlighting his voice and song writing rather than a C grade recovering rock star "getting my life back together" set it would have been better.

Lifehouse; a cut above, great band, cool songs, sound good, look good really got the show on the road. Slight problem with the mix on the treble parts of Jason Wade's vocals but I'm sure that was mix related. These guys were great and hit hard. They took video of us as it's a unique venue and the sun was setting - very cool show for us and them.

LiVe: essentially from the kick intro of all over you it was a love fest the crowd sung almost everything and LiVe sounded better than when I heard them in 2004 & Ed sounded more masculine then when I saw Him in 2009. There instrumentation; cohesion as a group and purpose is alarmingly good. They are close to E Street band quality and if Ed hadn't blown out the falsetto part of his voice early it would've been a flawless performance. The 10pm curfew meant only 17 songs and it seemed they wanted to play more - wouldve loved a new song. But from what we got; especially pillar of Davidson, the distance, the semi acoustic turn my head and the sensational walk the line version. If the guys make 5 or so rotating different set lists I'd be happy to watch them every week for the rest of my days. Brilliant stuff.

If they stay humble; work in some new material and add more fun like in the distance etc they will really rise to the top as one of the great modern performance artists. I honestly can't fathom too many bands outshining the guys at this level of professionalism and intensity / plus the visuals were great too.

I'll answer Q's about the show too if you have any!
