I like all the posts with DVD files, I just wish there was a way to convert the files myself to something more compatible like an mp4 or something. So I got the Handbrake app because that was more recommended to me for ripping DVDs. The problem is, when it finishes and I try playing it back it looks like the attached pic (all distorted) can anyone help me? If anyone knows of another free software for Mac out there, I am open to trying new things. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hey there.
You first need to download a program called DVD decrypter. (Free)
You then use that program to convert files to a folder designated on your computer.
Then you use handbrake to search for that folder and then convert to MP$ file.

It worked when I put a DVD in my computer but for some reason when I tried MTV Unplugged files shared through this forum, Aimersoft DVD Ripper did not recognize the BUP, VOB, or IFO files that are usually the types of files people share through this forum. any ideas?

Nowhere in gplesniak's instructions did Aimersoft software come into play. This is fairly simple. Use DVD Decrypter and Handbrake as per instructed.
