Ed has announced that Mental Jewelry will be re-released for the 25th Anniversary.

It will include a full live performance from the Roxy in LA (a 1992 show). Chad Taylor found the recording on 2 inch tape and has mixed it. There will also be unreleased tracks from that era.

No surprises about there being no 'new' studio tracks. Curious choice to put the Club Mix of PLOTR before Heaven Wore A Shirt and Negation in the tracklist, surely would have been better placed at the end?

I wonder if the album itself is actually remastered (rather than just made louder). Not that I think it needs it - it's already a very good sounding album.

Really looking forward to the Roxy show - especially for Susquenhanna (I thought they'd make a bigger deal about that and Born Branded being previously unreleased?).

The PLOTR sample finally revealed to me what the hell Ed used to yell before starting the song ("The riverside is where I... (walk)"

No surprises about there being no 'new' studio tracks.

I always thought there was quite a chance of them tacking on a couple new studio tracks on this MJ anny project. Since they aren't, this is confirmation for me that we are actually going to see a new full Live album in 2018 or 19.

I would think new studio album Spring 2018. I can see 2019 a reissue of Throwing Copper with b sides.

I did. I'm in the US so it was substantially lower shipping, but still a bit pricey ($10 for USPS). I just got the CD and t-shirt. I'll think about vinyl or cassette later. I love that there's a cassette reissue, btw. It makes me super hopeful for a proper Public Affection reissue.

Me too. Although I'm going with CD first, I hope to get the cassette at a later time for nostalgia. -When I got MJ back in the day, I had the cassette. I don't know why, but do I want any other of my old fave albums on cassette reissue? Nope. Just this one.
