Let's see your set list ideas for when Live headlines in 2018.
Please keep it at 16 songs in the order you'd like to hear them. You know there are going to be the predictable radio hits, but let's keep this interesting by noting where you think they will throw in some new songs. Also, please place an asterisk by two of your "wishes" (the ones that probably won't happen). Also, place two asterisks by two songs that are possible, but might be wishful thinking. Place three asterisks by one song you are pretty sure they will have in there, but wish they would take out!

This was harder than I thought, especially when it comes to the wishfuls and possibles.
Here's mine:

The Dam At Otter Creek**
Stage**
A New Song
Operation Spirit
Pain Lies on the Riverside
Selling the Drama
I Alone
The Dolphin's Cry
Lightning Crashes
Feel the Quiet River Rage***
A New Song
Lakini's Juice
All Over You
You Are the World*
Hold Me Up*

I would prefer Rattlesnake and Mirror Song too. Dance with You I love, and I wish they could do Turn My Head too.

It would be cool if they did a full 2-hr set with like 20 songs. I wouldn't expect it at festivals, but maybe down the road.

I actually prefer a tight 90 minute set over a 2 hour one.

I would be very disappointed if any headlining band played a measly 16 songs.

Good lord. 90 minute long concerts are like 12 track stock standard CDs. Totally unimaginative and reeks of doing the bare minimum. I don't want a 'tight' show. I want a show where Live decides to throw in a fan request if they feel like it, or if they sense the audience is in a particularly boisterous mood that they throw in an extra hard rocking track. Some of Live's best shows is when they throw out the setlist.

I just checked out the average setlist length of some of Live's contemporaries in 2016/2017

Green Day - 29 tracks
Pearl Jam - 32 tracks
Radiohead - 23 tracks
Foo Fighters - 26 tracks

I think a stripped down version of Photograph would be awesome, like, a no drums version would be great in concert. The live recording of it from '97 is a good example, although it's a terrible quality recording.

What '97 recording is that?

Bush, Collective Soul, Goo Goo Dolls, Everclear all perform 90 minute sets typically.

When Live was performing double encore sets back in 2006, members of the audience would slowly leave after each song. I much prefer a tight 17-20 song set that ends on a high note.

Sorry but do you want Live to have some balls and perform like one of the big boys or do you want them to mail it in like a third tier 90's act? Bands like Pearl Jam and Foo Fighters do it right. Live has a huge catalog of known songs to draw from, plus whatever else they can come up with or want to play on any given night.

Acts like Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi play fluid setlist that vary every night. Bruce plays 2 1/2 to 3 hour shows night in and night out. Dude is almost 70!

I've been to a Live show where the crowd adamantly wanted Heropsychodreamer to the point where Ed had to address the crowd by saying they hadn't rehearsed it so they couldn't play it. How embarrassing, that's your fucking song!

I want to see a rock show! Not a canned product that neatly wraps up in an hour and a half. Everything they have ever done should be on the table every night.

Live at age 20, rarely if ever went over 20 songs in concert. Live at mid to late 40's, I don't see going over 20 songs on a regular basis, nor is it something as a fan I would want.

And bands like Pearl Jam and Green Day only tour once every 3-5 years, and I still would hate to see them on stage for 2-3 hours at a time. 4 hours of Bruce, sounds like some level of hell I couldn't even imagine.

I'm a fan of shorter shows, always have been.

Plus the bands you mentioned rarely perform at general admission standing venues, which Live will more than likely have to perform at. Live's fan base is mid-30 to mid-60 at this point. Standing 2.5 hours in a club, no thanks.

You're think the fans at a Boss show are sitting? They ain't spring chickens either.

You guys are starting to sound like the "I have to be in bed by 8:30" and "the neighbors don't bring in their trash can crowd."

Maybe Live should tour community centers and have a bingo/brunch tour.

If ya'll can't handle a 2 1/2 hour show you can leave early to beat the traffic!

To everyone saying "most bands today have short shows" I'd say most bands today suck!

No bands of today for me. Dude, I've been listening to the same music for 30 years. The last three shows I mentioned seeing were: Crüe-18 songs, The Cult (solo)-17, and Tesla (solo)-16.
Because I'm curious, I just looked up Aerosmith (who I'd love to see again!) They play 18 songs. Sammy Hagar who I'm hoping comes around soon, plays 15-19. Kiss (who suck) play the standard 18 too.

Believe me, I love longer sets. They are just rare. When I saw AC/DC they played like 25 songs. Crüe in 2005/Carnival of Sins was 24. Personally, those are the two best concerts I've ever been to. If Live wants to do it like that, then bring it. I'd be one happy camper. I just don't see them playing that many. Time will tell.
