I've seen a lot of talk about how Līve handled the reunion news and how they handled Chris Shinn's departure. Līve obviously are a part of society and are beneficiaries of the technological conveniences we've all grown accustomed to. We expect news to arrive to us fast as soon as it takes place. So when we found out how long ago this decision had been made maybe some were put off by that.

Līve didn't grow up in the social media age. While the guys have all embraced social media, the function of Līve has always been one of stretches of silence. And they have always made odd choices here and there. So in the grand scheme of things the way they handled the reunion and Chris' departure should probably be seen as par for the course.

It's possible they simply didn't want to draw attention to the fact that Live had switched singer at all. Fact is, most of the public probably had minimal awareness that Chris had ever been in the band.

Despite being a great album, The Turn has sold what, 10,000 copies total? Most people would neither know nor care about Chris Shinn, and any reference to him would simply draw more attention to a period they are obviously trying to leave behind and detract from the message.

Good that they have now acknowledged him though.
