Someone told me that on a Live FB group, CCP's long time business associate just said that it is FACT that Ed NEVER stole from his bandmates. Very nice to be able to finally put all that drama to rest.

Note: This thread was not created by SJN1279. It was split from the NYE Party At Think Loud Entertainment thread.

QUOTE(gerrycan70 @ Dec 11 2016, 5:56 am) *

Look I admit that the whole 360 about face is like no other I can recall in a band. GNR is probably the closest example and it took how many decades for them to get back on stage. Personally I don't think Axel and Slash are full on best buddy buddy's; but I'm happy for them as a band to be back on stage playing together. Happy for their fan base. Look at Van Halen DLR was gone for ages, then comes back out of the blue to reunite with them. So it can happen.

For those who want to be a doubting thomas, all I say is look, give these 4 guys a chance.

I truly feel that Live have gotten their friendships back to where they once were.
And I've said this here before, even if they haven't, they could still make great music together and tour & when they are stage and together for interviews, fans wouldn't be the wiser. gerrycan mentions Axl and Slash... I don't buy that they mended fences either. But what's the big deal if they haven't? Take Mötley Crüe for example. In the early 90's, Vince claimed he was fired & the rest of the guys claim he left on his own. It was over something dumb like him being late to rehearsals and giving his time to things on the side like race cars. Anyway, they made an album in 94 with a replacement singer, John Corabi. Most Mötley fans hated it; just like Live, there was the pocket of fans that loved it because it was the heaviest stuff they had done in a long time & the new guy should stay in the band forever. Fans were fighting; the parallels are strikingly similar. Anyway,
Vince came back & they were NEVER bros again like they once were and it was no secret. Vince & Tommy couldn't get along, they bashed each other in their books, etc. In the early 2000's they went on a hiatus. Fans started clamoring for them to get back together--they even aired their "sit down and let's talk about it meeting" on VH1. What came after that, was one of the best periods of music and tours from them I had EVER seen. Oh my God, the 2005 Carnival of Sins shows to this day, tops any live performance I've seen from any band. Later, here comes Saints of Los Angeles, a
great album, better than anything they had done since 1989. All the while still not close as they were. They took separate buses, airplanes, etc. They weren't going to each other's houses for BBQ's, they just kept it professional.

If we are wrong and Live really hasn't honestly buried the hatchet, why can't they follow suit?
Who says they can't put out balls to the wall music and have an awesome tour? They COULD. They are professional musicians.

P.S. I half expect Sammy to return to VH one day now because he recently, after David Bowie's
death, said life is too short and openly apologized/reached out to Eddie and Alex. Genuine forgiveness, after years of squabbling can and does happen. Each case is different. Let's see what happens in LIVE's case.
