Ed never stole from his bandmates, according to a source close to the band Options

Someone told me that on a Live FB group, CCP's long time business associate just said that it is FACT that Ed NEVER stole from his bandmates. Very nice to be able to finally put all that drama to rest.

From my perspective, the story doesn't really add up. There are questions, logic fails, 180 turns that leave credibility in doubt - lots of things that keep me wondering (and as a fan I am owed some explanation for). And no amount of "ughhh get over it!" from people who are happy to roll with it is gonna make me suddenly just forget about those things.

Also, not sure Ed was entirely publicly silent. For one thing he's been claiming credit for more than his fair share of the back catalog which is in itself very disrespectful.

It's pretty incredible. They were more than happy to air dirty laundry in detail in public back when that was "100% truth", now that there is a new "100% truth" it is a guarded top secret that people can't know the details of haha. Sounds pretty legit to me.

There's almost a Trumpesqueness to it all. Before the election it was "its rigged its bad it needs investigating blah blah" then he wins and "no no, no details, it's all fine now, nothing to see here!" Live got what they wanted again so it's "nope, nothing to see here". Reeks of hiding the truth.

Also no way was Ed quiet. Remember when he was crowing about how his solo band was the best group of musicians he has ever played with and CCP were "those individuals" and how any time he talked about TC or TC songs they were "my songs' and "my album". Then calling Live a karaoke band, something CCP and Bill and co. were FURIOUS about at the time. These are all things completely unrelated to whether Ed is a thief or not. And even if he wasn't, these things still all stand. I wonder what the 100% truth is now? "Oh at the time I thought I didn't like Ed's music and band and treatment of Live, but now i realised I was wrong".
