Someone told me that on a Live FB group, CCP's long time business associate just said that it is FACT that Ed NEVER stole from his bandmates. Very nice to be able to finally put all that drama to rest.

Note: This thread was not created by SJN1279. It was split from the NYE Party At Think Loud Entertainment thread.

"Warm bodies I sense
Are not machines that can only make money..."

Seems kind of ironic that this lyric is from one of their most beloved songs on LIVE's most successful album. I've been a fan of LIVE somewhere between the release of Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi and have never looked back. It's taken me a while, but I've read through all 15 pages of this thread and I've got to tell you, it's troubling. It's troubling in a good way because it's got me thinking. While tempers might be a little short, and keyboards might be a little too quick at times, the questions posed here are still valid ones I believe. To be honest, the love I have for LIVE has actually blinded me to these questions, but no longer.

For me, after reading these 15 pages, it's like not being able to enjoy my favorite drink after I know somebody has spit in it even though it still tastes great.

With this announcement looming and after reading jayda's post, I have to say I'm partly agreeing with them. I almost hope it's announcing their retirement from the music industry, so they can retain what dignity they have left, maybe with SOME explanation of what happened with Ed, and move on with their lives OUT of the public's eye so they DON'T have to answer to us. However, with some answers in hand, I think that would go a long way.

To speak on the Chris comments, 100% out of place here. I agree with everyone defending him referring to his contributions on the Turn and his live performances. That DID take guts to step in and replace someone as loved and as ensconced into LIVE as Ed.

It's a shame that after such a great musical career that literally spanned the globe started by 4 kids from Anytown USA, it's all come down to name calling and animosity...if you did it, ya did it, period.
