Ed never stole from his bandmates, according to a source close to the band Options

Someone told me that on a Live FB group, CCP's long time business associate just said that it is FACT that Ed NEVER stole from his bandmates. Very nice to be able to finally put all that drama to rest.

OK, what do you want from the band to help you move on? I am curious, what do you want the band to tell you?

The truth. Then you can decide for yourself whether you want to move on or jump off the ship.

You can say that Bill just gave us the truth .. but that was after 6 years of professing the exact opposite is the truth. So how exactly do you believe anything he says ... to me it doesn't feel like the truth. It feels like PR to try and help the relaunch go smoother.

What can they do .. I don't know ... sit Ed and CT down in front of the Faceculture guy and let him grill them and not get away with flimsy answers. If CCP and Ed are 100% in control of what statements or explanations they put out, then I don't think we will ever get the truth because how can you believe any of them anymore?
So maybe it takes an interviewer with balls to really hit them with proper hard questions for details and then let the way they handle that be a guide to whether fans believe them or not.

If they're too scared to do that, and they just want to be in total control of the information they release then they cannot, and it is completed unacceptable for them to expect fans to just blindly believe them now. A humble response such as "we're sorry you feel that way and are let down, bla blah blah" may be a nice touch. Instead its all guns blazing like "lol haha fuck you im Bill and Live lol fuck you shit bags!" I recall another long time fan (20+yrs) who simply said to them on facebook that she wasn't sure how to feel about Ed coming back, and they replied to her with "get over it". That's pathetic. They talk big about their love for fans and love and forgiveness but act like total dicks to their fans.
Think of all the fans they insulted and told to fuck off when the fans wanted Ed back ... "that thief isn't coming back!" now it turns out they were "wrong" and all those fans are just going to meekly fall back into line? Nup.

So, what can they do ... I don't know, but being completely in charge of their own responses and statements isn't it because you'll get nothing but bullshit. So maybe its got to be someone else putting it to them and not just rolling over and accepting their answers if something sounds off about it.
OR, maybe the music they make now will actually be SO good as to just be ok with that instead. I know that is a 1% chance for me, but you asked what they can do, that is a remote possibility I guess.
