Have you heard new Metallica song Dream no more? Its main riff at the beginning sounds the same or very close to Honest Man's. The songs are very different but that riff at the start of Dream no more and later at 2:35 captured my attention. Perhaps it's only me.

DM was the first Metallica album I actually bought and listened to so maybe that has something to do with it. And that was weeks after my father passed away and I dunno, the sound and energy and themes, it all just worked for me at that time.

St anger is pretty shitty I never gave it more than one listen!

Well now that makes a lot of sense as to why you enjoy it so much. Lets see, my first Metallica album was... Load. I was alive for the previous two, but too young to remember. I remember buying Load and jamming on my boom box.

Smart decision on St. Anger. What we're they thinking?! "Hey guys, you know all those reason's we're a really good band... lets make a album and not do any of it!"
