Have you heard new Metallica song Dream no more? Its main riff at the beginning sounds the same or very close to Honest Man's. The songs are very different but that riff at the start of Dream no more and later at 2:35 captured my attention. Perhaps it's only me.

It does sound a little similar, but it's a pretty basic riff. I imagine there are other songs that sound similar too.

What are your thoughts on Hardwired... To Self Destruct?

I like Metallica a lot but i am not one of the fans who say that Metallica died with the black album. Actually, Load is one of my favorite albums, thought Metallica’s gold standard, IMHO, is Ride the Lightning.

Now Hardwired album: It is very good! It has a little bit of Metallica from all eras including thrash (i.e. Spit out the bone) and its production is perfect. It is overall much better that Death Magnetic and one of their best works.

What do you think?

I like Hardwired as well, not as much as other albums (I completely agree, Load was a great album!) but t's solid. Here's the thing, if I took Death Magnetic and Hardwired and tried to compare them against the "old Metallica" then they wouldn't hold up. I believe too many people do this. Take the albums for what their worth on their own. I think of Death Magnetic and Hardwired as a different era of Metallica, and I like them! Do I like them as much as Load or Black, no, but that's not the point.

I really like Moth into the Flame, a great song!

Wambangalang: I never thought I would hear anyone say that Death Magnetic was their FAVORITE album lol. I like it, but favorite? You have that island all to yourself bud! And nearby is the St. Anger island... nobody lives on that island...
