What to expect from +Live+..., now that Ed is back Options

I think the first thing might be SS related, but i'm up for anything as i'm sure most fans are. Have at it, what do you think!?

Live aside, historically reunions tend to fizzle more often than they revive careers. I think this is my biggest concern with Live going forward.

My guess is that you will see a tour and an album. The tour will help Live find a passion and learn to gel again enough to write an album. The album will be the tricky part. It is going to be very difficult for Live to live up to the expectations of it's fan base, which is why it is important to keep an open mind. There is no doubt that an album can be very good, but I wouldn't go expecting to hear Throwing Copper Part 2 or Secret Samadhi resurrected. Instead, I would expect that you would hear something somewhat similar to BOP...which wouldn't be awful in the grand scheme of things.

I know there are some mixed reactions when you bring up BOP, but I can see an album with this direction being a strong effort to the average Live fan's ear. Imagine taking BOP with a really rejuvenated band and an Ed who is determined to prove his neigh-sayers wrong. This, in my opinion, would be your best case scenario.

The worst case scenario? You get one good single and an album that just sounds out of place. Personally, I think of Creed in 2009. Overcome made you think "Woah, these guys might have something here!"....then I heard the album. Ooof.

Of course, I hope that I am wrong on both fronts (something which I'm sure we all agree on). Nothing would be more amazing to see a fully functional, completely rejuvenated, back to the roots version of Live. However, I am just going to temper my expectations and enjoy the fact that my favorite band would be making and performing music at all.
