Let's get some new conversation going...

Say Ed reunites with Live and they tour. What would be THE song, that if you were to hear live, you just might spontaneously combust? Perhaps a favorite that you've never heard them do live before?

My pick would be "You Are the World." That song! -"Be aware, not scared, look at me now, silence I say!..." Oh to this day, how it makes me mosh around my living room! So yeah, if I were to hear it in their set list, I might go up in flames.

From what i read +LIVE+ is either done or reuniting with ED, is that where we stand?

Yeah, that's the assumption. A few completely unverifiable sources on this board said that the band is reuniting around the 25th anniversary of Mental Jewelry. All members of the band have completely shut off communication concerning Live, which leads to wild speculation.

A few potential things going on here:

1. Litigation has been reignited, and all parties are currently under legal obligation to avoid Live-related activities until the issue has been settled in or out of court.

2. Live 2.0 and Ed have called it quits completely and coincidentally at the same time with no word to their fans.

3. The original lineup has agreed to a re-release of Mental Jewelry.

4. The original lineup will get together for a re-release of Mental Jewelry and play a few shows to make amends with fans before saying farewell.

5. Chris Shinn is gone for good.

6. The original lineup is actually getting back together to re-release Mental Jewelry as a platform to revive their band, create new material, and actually tour.

Pretty much anything goes at this point. They are intentionally keeping silent for some unknown reason. If anything, I can assure you Ed will continue making music and touring, because that seems to be the only thing he knows.

The thing I find most telling is Ed's silence. That is just not Ed. For better or worse, that man loves churning out music.

#1 is what I am worried about now. That possibility just hit me yesterday.
But the pro-Ed posts they made wouldn't make sense.

Agreed....so many things make this whole situation unnerving and makes it hard to be patient for awaiting some sort of answers.

The social media posts/reminiscing of 'old Live'/Ed support, etc. However, it doesn't necessarily mean reunion, it could just mean reconciling between members for now? Who knows....


Just so ya'll know, fans of music/other band pages I belong to continuously cite Live (and Live with Ed specifically as well) as a MAJOR influence and still a loved/respected band. I felt like sharing this b/c of some comments on here being made in the vein of 'no one besides those on this board care about Live anymore/have moved on, etc.' implying that they are 'done'....to this I say NO WAY.
