Prelude:

My wife says I shouldn't read posts on this message board, because it just gets me stressed out.

-------

Well, it's time to end my silence!

I'm tired of people who think they know the band and post comments leaning towards one direction or another.

I've been a fan since 1994, and I've watched bands break up and get back together..

Bands who everyone thought would never get back together.. (Creed, Guns N Roses, etc, etc...)

At 33yrs old, I am "famous" for being obsessed with this "90's" Band, called Live, where most "common folk" think they didn't write a song past I Alone or Lighting Crashes..

Of course, if you can trap one of those people in a corner, and play them their greatest hits they will soon realize they know a lot more than those songs...

The bottom line here is that I wanted to post something..

These guys grew up together, blew the roof of Rock Radio together, and there is nothing stopping from them from getting over their "common" rock band issues.

I remember hearing "Forever" on rock radio. Obviously I had a copy before it hit the radio, but it sounded great on the radio.

I told my friends, this is the best radio hit, since Dolphin's Cry.

and it was....

Nothing crazy, but a solid track, solid music, with great lyrics.

I'm sick of hearing about the Ed Years..

Alternative Rock was anything but mainstream at the time, but Ed was still breaking into the mainstream.

I want, and wanted Live to be relevant, and they still were (at least in Central Jersey)

Live was on broadcast television, singing with Chris Daughtry on American Idol, I couldn't be more happy...

This was it, there chance to get back into the swing of things, (although they had hits on the radio from every album, (including SFBM)

And then the worst break up of my life happened...

Nonetheless, I tried to recover, and followed Ed through his Solo Career, and still am following,...

New band was... Ok... but it came me that shot of addiction I needed....

Gracious Few Kicked Ass.. (Still waiting for Round 2)

and the new Live Studio Album was pretty Kick Ass as well...

Ed's Latest Album, arguably the best he has done solo...

But the bottom line is... Ed needs his friends to fuel the Fire, and Chris Shinn can't remember Live lyrics..

2016 needs to be the year that Ed and Chad put their Ego's aside, and get the Band back together..

Live is a Hall of Fame worthy Band!

They need to bring back the Magic of Throwing Copper and Mix it with Birds of Pray..

Every Live album was good music,

You will never duplicate Throwing Copper...

(you will never duplicate Hybrid Theory for that matter)

But Forever was the start to something, and Believe (Early version of Honest Man) could have lead to a great Album...

Time to stop the BS on this board of people being so sure of themselves, and realize that bands go through changes...

You can't be the 17 year old version of your self...

Every member of Live is important...

And it's time for us all to get on the same page, and pull for them to get on the same page, and reunite Live, and make some more memories...

Thank you for listening...

Of course, I would love for Live + Ed to get back together, although I really enjoyed the album they did with Shinn.

One stipulation though, don't let Ed write anything other than lyrics and vocal melodies, and he should not have the final word on what material is progressed. The rest of the band have proven with TGF and ShLive that they have the chops to write music up to classic Live standards, so let them get on with it, and let Ed do what he is best at too.

Is this connected?

Chad T:
When our journeys intersect with others, especially when it's complicated, we often question why. It's easy to forget that we're a mass of energy, trillions of atoms being bombarded with other atoms. It's easy to get caught up in the drama and thoughts of life, but the trajectory of these particles are unforgiving in their direction.

In this regard, we are infinitely small and matter very little to the universe outside of our own.

What happens when we accept that we have very little say in these cosmic intersections?

Forgiveness, might be recognizing that the collision itself has little to do with our position but rather our perception. For example, it's acceptable to ram into each other in bumper cars - we laugh and giggle (I, of course, never giggle) because it's expected, but if we did that with our road vehicles, we would cause great damage, frustration, anger and confusion.

Someone might be rubbing you the wrong way, or you might feel hurt or rejected, but each one of these feelings is by choice (and knowing this can be tough medicine to swallow). What are we choosing? Are we choosing to be victims? To be hurt, or angry?

It's when we tap into our free will that we can choose to either accept one another, or feel betrayed by our circumstance. Regardless, the outcome will be the same as the universe is unrelenting in its endless creation and movement.

Here's to many more years of bumper car smashing - cheers!

If CCP actually decided to regroup with Ed, you know Chad would need to lube up the Shinn fans very well. Chad would need to make these posts about cosmic forgiveness far in advance to open the Shinn fans up to the idea of inserting Ed back into the band. Many will find it painful or curious nonetheless.

Actually they could do whatever they want with their band. They owe fans nothing regardless of what they do.
