uggg, I wish they weren't playing this shitty fest. There are so many cool venues here in Columbus. I'd love to see them, but I refuse to go to this crapfest.

What's wrong with the fest? I have never been.

First, I just hate festivals. The sound sucks, there are a ton of people, and everything is overpriced. Plus, all the bands are crap on this lineup. Linkin Park? Slipknot? Papa Roach? It is a shame that Live gets lumped in with this nu-metal. Rock on the Range is usually just a white-trash party.

The video below is one of Slipknot's more beautifully nuanced performances.

But in all seriousness, this would be a rough festival. I can only assume they are hoping The Turn will appeal to some newer audiences with its heavier tone? This seems slightly akin to an ICP concert.

In Australia we have a similar festival. It's called Soundwave and it features many of the bands that are at the Rock on the Range festival. https://www.soundwavefestival.com/ - It's probably the #1 festival in Australia. Maybe Live will be a late addition?

I dunno, there are festivals like this all over the USA. Is Live scheduled for any others (I really hope not...)

Whoa, 'til now, I missed the convo in this thread. Live is playing a festival here May 24th--River City Rockfest. I'm slated to go, even though I do not like Chris Shinn... I wanted to see the other boys because I never got to see Live back in the day. This thread (2 hours to get outta the parking lot! sketchy bathrooms! etc) is starting to make me reconsider. The only other person I like on the bill is Scott Weiland. Anthrax?--Blech!! Linkin Park & Godsmack--hate them! Papa Roach--no thanks! The rest of the bands on the bill, I udderly have no idea who they are?! I like the line up you all are discussing a lot better...I'd love to see Judas Priest & Slash and Manson just for the freakshow he is. Someone mentioned musically diverse Live fans... So true!! I think I'm the only 1980's glam rock loving person in here (Crüehead for life!!!!) that got into Live after Nirvana came out and ruined my hair metal loving life. I fell in love with Live because they could not be lumped together with Nirvana and the like. They were just different and simply just ROCKED.
