While I'm also on my high horse, I have a bit more to say. So bear with me, because when it seems anyone contradicts anything you people think, they are so called elitists and things of such nature. So I don't expect many of you to understand for various reasons I find to be obvious.

Through my battle with cancer, on two occasions, I've gained perspective on a few things. I've always lacked tact, but I've learned to shape my musings into something more comprehensible.


LIVE

Live represents something to me as a human being and as a simple fan. Live has a spiritual essence that has taught me many things. Forgiveness, love, strength, tolerance...to name a few. I've used these things in the way I live my life and the way I raise my children. They are both compassionate smart, strong young women. I love them more than life itself. I owe their existence and the way they were raised, in part to what Live instilled in me, Ed included. Their music taught me to forgive, where I didn't think forgiveness was possible. Tolerance where I was unable to tolerate. And MOST important to LOVE unconditionally. To LOVE through the hate and to bear the scars of the wounds I have suffered and bear them to be my OWN. MY WOUNDS. Not to inflict the results of those wounds on others. Not to use what resulted from those wounds as a weapon to hurt others. But instead to love, to follow what I am deep down inside and not to allow the HATE to change who I am and allow that hate to dictate what I unleash upon others.

So the walls we all put up, I've learned finally to break mine down and let the love I have inside shine through. Am I still a dick sometimes? Fuck yes. That's part of who I am as well and admitting to that fault is a cross I bear and will always bear right to my grave. LIVE taught me to accept who I am regardless of the good or the bad. But with one important message that has always shone through. "Suffer the wound"....and those wounds are mine. I will no longer use those wounds to inflict pain or discord upon others. They are not an excuse to abuse as I have been abused. But the light, as a result, a tool to use to shine love and instill all the greatness I possess into the lives of others.

The essence of LIVE taught me so many things. What bothers me here, is that Live's message throughout all these years has always been a great one, yet seems to be largely ignored to the people that roam this place. That makes me an elitist? No, it makes me someone who fails to understand what message you've received from this band and how it seems to have been completely lost on many of you. I'm listening to justifications that make no sense, that are completely void of personal responsibility. People talking about the age of the internet and using that as an excuse. What about everyone accepting personal responsibility as a fan of this band and acting in good faith as a fan? It seems to me that the essence of this band is completely lost on many of you and that you are simply happy to have gotten what you wanted, regardless of how you got it or who you hurt in the process? Because if you asked someone not to share something and hoped they'd respect you enough to do that, wouldn't you be upset if they turned around and spilled the beans? Every single one of you would and that makes every single one of you the worst of hypocrits.

Even those who swore AGAINST this place, came slithering over to this place, begging everyone for a piece of this recording. It's a black hole, but when it has something you want, you come running back with your hands out without thinking twice about it. Yet I've seen several users who didn't get it, respect the wishes of the band and take it in stride. And when they post here, they're called elitists? While in the same breath, you continue to call CT names of various degree? Yet you're begging for his recordings still? And why? Because he chose a method you don't agree for with it's release? How can you call yourself a fan of this band and turn around a bash one of it's members, all because of how he released a recording you happened not to get? You want to talk about being misguided? About being elitist? Try looking into the mirror for a changer and looking at yourself for exactly what you are. Because you are not fans of this band and that is what is OFFENSIVE here.

You chose to sell out on this band for an old demo recording. You chose to act like little kids and throw away everything this band has exemplified over the years for a simple recording. That in itself speaks volumes about what kind of "fans" you people are. I hope you enjoyed the recording and I hope you are happy for STOMPING over everything this band has stood for since day one. So go ahead and blame it on the internet and go ahead and blame it on CT and this and that. Fact is, each of you are personally responsible for putting THIS RECORDING OVER YOUR ALLEGIANCE AND LOYALTY TO THIS BAND. Each of you directly disrespected the wishes of one of it's founding members who has never done anything to ever offend any of you.

This place has allowed LIVE'S name to be stepped on and outright fucking pissed on. The attacks on it's members have been outrageous and slanderous and should have never been allowed. Even in this thread, you have so called "fans" calling CT a narcissist? So why the fuck are you here begging for one of his recordings? You have the administration PUBLICLY offering money for a recording that was asked NOT TO BE SHARED, then distributing it to how many people? People who probably haven't even followed the band for ten plus years? And this is someone running a fansite dedicated to the band? I've never ever seen anything so deluded and in my life. The members of this band have done nothing to any of you. They have been gracious in meeting many of you and have never had a bad thing to say about it. So to have a board like this dedicated to them and their namesake that allows such anti-Live sentiment to be spread at will is just disgusting. Especially considering the message this band has conveyed over the years and everything they have done to appease us fans. It's just flat out morally bankrupt and each and every one of you who contribute to it should be downright fucking ashamed of yourselves.

This place is EXACTLY THE OOPOSITE of what LIVE exemplifies. I have asked parties on all sides to just chill out as far as the breakup goes. But one things remains clear and that is in the scope of Live's essence, this place is completely void of respect and honor of it's members. The blatant personal attacks that have been allowed to go on are just flat out deplorable and should have never been allowed to take place.

It is plain as day to see that this place has nothing to do with being a "fan of live" It's a place to come and feel free to attack it's members and carry on like a complete ass for there is nobody running it who feels any differently about them. Pirating a recording for money and ripping it for any tom, dick or harry to have is proof of it. Asking for it in a PUBLIC FORUM shows a blatant disrespect for the band, it's music and everything they have ever stood for and anyone who continues to post here condones it and you are just as well, I won't even bother to tell you what I think you are. Fact is, you are nowhere even close to being worth all that I've typed here. But after the long winded response of a few of you, I decided to retort with something that actually makes sense. So continue to rot here. This place has not a single thing to do with being a "fan of Live."

Knowing what backstabbing and disrespectful "people" you are. I'm sure this will draw a lot of useless, dumbminded drivel from a few users who are nothing but a complete waste of skin. But don't bother, I've had my say and now I will discard you like I discard my trash. Mostly because I regard many of you as just that, utter trash. Good luck with that "fans of Live."
