Chris said that they spent a lot of time and effort with Jerry Harrison and the band working on that track, so I'm sure there were a lot of changes from the version that Chad provided from his tapes.

I also learned that Kevin Martin basically ditched The Gracious Few to return to Candlebox when things weren't going so well for the band.

That is not at all what was said. Just talked to Kevin last night, and they will be working on finishing up new TGF material in February. TGF is a side project for all those guys, not just Kevin. Priorities lie elsewhere.
