Exactly. You could say Live doesn't live in CCP anymore. They can only study their former selves and try to replicate the elements. They're only inspired by Live.

Considering most of The Turn seems to be an expressive reaction to the past 13 years of creative frustration, don't you think it's fairly appropriate for Live to be the main inspiration for this record?

Great question.

First, don't forget TGF. CCP's creative juices have been flowing just fine for the past 5 years.

My instinct is to say no, it is not appropriate to be inspired by Live when making a Live album. Just be Live. Otherwise CCP may end up rehashing Throwing Copper samples in the new album. Otherwise the singer might sing old lyrics and have no idea what they are.
