I have desperately been looking for an acoustic version of Lightning Crashes that I heard a few years ago on someone's playlist on a website. It was a little over five minutes long I think, and it sounded as if maybe Ed was performing for a radio show. He also did an acoustic version of I Alone I think. At the end of Lightning Crashes, a guy (the DJ?) said, "Wow-Ed Kowalczyk with Lightning Crashes." He then said some other things that I can't remember, and he may have given the name of the radio station.

I know this information probably isn't helpful enough, but I would greatly appreciate it if someone could identify this set for me and tell me how to get the song. It was the most beautiful acoustic version of Lightning Crashes that I've ever heard.

I very much enjoy that version and I appreciate your help, but I'm not sure it's what I'm looking for. I really hate the fact that I'm probably seeming like a difficult person, but I've emailed the guy who had the song on his playlist on his website, and he hasn't answered.

I think that Ed also did I Alone during the same set I'm looking for, but I don't know if he did any other songs besides that and LC. I'm also not sure if the set was performed before or after his split with Live. I remember the audience applauded at the beginning and end of Lightning Crashes, and the DJ definitely said "Wow" at the end followed by (paraphrased), "Ed Kowalczyk with Lightning Crashes." He had a rather deep, rolling voice and talked fast and then said a few other things I can't remember, and that was the end of the recording.

I can't understand how this version of this song can one day be available for people to add to their playlists, and then the next day seemingly have disappeared from the face of the internet.
