Diving into a catalog that dates back more than twenty years ago, the former frontman of the band Live had the crowd in an uproar right from the very first chord of All Over You. Really, the whole night was a testament of love that the fans had with his band back in the early 90’s. In fact for those truly nostalgic fans, they were in for a treat as he performed Pain Lies on the Riverside from Live’s debut album Mental Jewelry in 1991. That performance was probably the highlight of the night as Ed stopped singing a few times to allow the crowd’s chorus to win out. The only negative was that the back and forth approach probably wasn’t recorded. Afterall, it would be pretty cool to pick up an album of Ed Kowalczyk, formerly of Live, performing Live.

During his set, Ed performed an array of fan-favorites from his time with Live including: Dolphin’s Cry, Face and Ghost (The Children's Song), Heaven, The Distance, Lightning Crashes, I Alone and Overcome, but also notable songs from his solo effort like Grace, All That I Wanted and Seven, which is the first single from his new album. One of the biggest surprises was his rendition of Bruce Springstein's I'm On Fire, which just like every other track performed had a huge sing-a-long behind it.

Ed continues his East Coast travel until April 25th in Rome, Georgia.
