Live with Ed sold out HOB Atlantic City 3 times from 2005-2009 while still playing a full weekend of capacity shows at the same time. Live without Ed spent thousands of dollars of their own money on FB adds to fill the HOB AC on Saturday and fell well short of the mark. The fact that this was the only solo headline show that Live booked for the year and they made it a one-time only Throwing Copper shows that the band is not nearly strong without Ed. As more casual fans discover Ed is no longer with the band, they will draw less and less fans to their shows. The dye has been cast.

Live is rebuilding the carcass that Ed left in his narcissistic wake. Many fans are skeptical which is to be expected. A good percentage of those that are open to experiencing Live with a new singer are pleasantly surprised. Chris is handling old Live songs just fine. The bonus is that the band is having such a good time "together" that the fans are too. The fans are feeding off the band and the band is feeding off the fans. Like the best rock shows should be. In 2009 there was none of that. Word is getting around. If they continue as they are now they will do just fine.
