It's been a long time since I last posted something on here.
. . . Anyway

When I first listened to the album I guess I wasn't that impressed,
think I wasn't in the right frame of mind at the time when I was at work listening to it on my ipod.

I gave it another listen and there were a few tracks that stood out from the annoying cheesy poppy crap that Ed cant help but make.

Songs that stood out for me (in order)

01 Parasite
02 Holy Water Tears
03 Seven (still not keen on those lyrics 'I'm gonna scream like a little baby, call me craaazzzyy')
04 All That I Wanted

05 The Watchman's Lament

the rest of the album is a bit average for me (but might grow on me later on)

06 The one
07 Bottle of Anything
08 Angels on a Razor
09 Supernatural Fire

and these two tracks are just terrible (probably will never get better when I listen to them again)

10 Cornerstone (I do like that little bonus track thing at the end when he's having a prayer)
11 Take Me Back (starts off ok, but then when he starts screaming 'take me back to the start') just yuk.

Overall just 3 out of 5 stars for me.

Thats epic, i like it more then the version he went with.

I enjoyed the even handed review i must say i really enjoy seven though lyrically and melodically its a high point for Ed as far as writing is concerned. I think.

But the production let it down too many effects and noises - he shouldve just let the song talk..

I am waiting for australia release b4 i review but seriously how many of us would ever imagine at SFBM we would NOT like Ed screaming in a song?

The fact that he is pushing angry vocals again alone signals vast improvement to me.
