Live will headline the Grand Prix of Baltimore on August 31, 2013.

According to the Baldimore Sun, Live will be performing a 1.5 hour set.

Live, the York-based band that rose to prominence in the mid-1990s with songs like "Selling The Drama" and "Lightning Crashes," will headline the Grand Prix of Baltimore's music offerings.

Organizer Race On LLC announced its lineup Monday.

Live will take to the main stage, between the Hilton and Convention Center, Saturday Aug. 31 at 6 p.m. for an hour-and-a-half show.

The band no longer includes lead singer Ed Kowalczyk, who left during the group's hiatus in 2009 and was later sued by the remaining members of the band. They claimed he tried to cut them out of profits due the band and continues to misuse the band's name by touring as "Ed Kowalczyk of Live."

Chris Shinn, formerly of Unified Theory, is the new lead singer. The show, according to a news release, "will include many of the band’s biggest hits as well as new material."

"Live is a great addition to the Celebration of Acceleration,” J.P. Grant, managing director of Race On, said according to the release. “We’re pleased to have them as the headliners of an exceptional and well-rounded musical lineup that offers something for everyone.”

Reserved Grand Stand and General Admission tickets to the Grand Prix -- available here -- include access to the main stage. Musical acts will also appear at the Andretti Club and the Corporate Village. A separate slate of music to be performed at the Grand Prix's beer garden will be announced at a later date.

Most of us have already seen these on the facebook pages for a bit and have been commenting and i can honestly say it is probably the most horrible videos i have seen of them so far.
Just the beginning is god awful. [lightning crashes]
The little exchange beteewn ct and shinn.
Then once he starts singing [if you want to call it that] It's absolutly horrid.
They are all bored as fuck. Not into it at all. NO energy at all. There is just no connection or emotion from shinn at all. How does he even sing these songs?
My god, if someone says that these are good videos you need to check youself asap. If this so called "band" does put out a cd i will be fucking amazed. And i mean AMAZED! I just don't think they have it in them. I really don't. And i'm being nice. If i videotaped that i would not even put it up. No way.

And oh, hey nick, funny story, i just saw Brett S. recently and i asked him has he heard about the new live singer and whatnot then told him his name, he had NO clue who he was. Never hear of him. I was a bit shocked but hey, what does that tell ya? LOL
