Imagine how CCP feel. Above all else they thought Ed was their friend and they gave him the benefit of the doubt for years.

And they let him to the bulk of the work for the band while getting the same pay as well.

Edit: This thread was not created by SJN1279. It was split from: New song riff - A riff by Chad T

How could you possibly know this? Also, how does one define "work" while in a band? Is it who wrote the lyrics? The melody? What about when a band is on tour? They all had to work then, no? Who keeps track of what percent of the work each band member does?

We can all continue to argue in circles, or just be happy that Ed and the new version of Live will be releasing new music and touring in the not too distance future.

Both sides don't have to get along, but the petty fighting is getting old.

Quit making asinine comments like Ed did the bulk of the work then. Each contributed equally to their success until the contributions of the others were rejected by Ed. It's no coincidence that everything changed when that started happening.

Most fans, friends, associates, etc have reconciled that Ed is not the man they thought. You can realize this and still enjoy his music and support him. Some on this very site do that and they get no grief from anyone. It is those that continue to ignore the overwhelming mountain of evidence supporting this. People very close to Ed have come to terms with it. The only ones that haven't are those that are so enamored with him that they just can't accept it.

How do you quantify that everyone contributed equally to the success?

What do you want, a nice spreadsheet with some pie charts and intricate formulas? There is no way to quantify it other than to experience it. The music that moved everyone so much did so for a reason. This was a brotherhood, a band where each had 100 % freedom to express themselves in every way and an environment of love and support for one another. They set out to conquer the world together and they did a damn fine job. Sorry if you didn't get to experience some of that when it was happening. It was magical and they all contributed equally to that.
