Scott Weiland got fired from Stone Temple Pilots Options

Does anyone have any thoughts or feelings about an alt rock lead singer being fired from his band?

"I learned of my supposed "termination" from Stone Temple Pilots this morning by reading about it in the press. Not sure how I can be "terminated" from a band that I founded, fronted and co-wrote many of its biggest hits, but that’s something for the lawyers to figure out. This is the second time this has happened. They basically fired him and started a new band when he was all tweeked out.

The whole thing is a damn shame because the band is talented and when they are all on the same page these guys know how to rock.
