Edward Kowalcyzk, How would you? Options

A good friend of mine asked me today, who is well aware that I am a fan of the past, present, and future Live, to sum up Ed Kowalcyzk in 5 words or less. What I could muster up on the spot was, "once great artist, became sell-out".

Whether you have positive or negative feelings towards Ed, I pose the same question to you. How would you describe Ed Kowalcyzk in 5 words or less?

I got to spend a little time back stage before and after shows over a period of a few years before the 2009 hiatus and I saw some examples of Ed's interaction with the band and the crew, and the band and the crew's interaction with each other. I some some examples of Ed being a not so nice friendly guy. I also had a few examples of Ed being not so nice to me personally. I don't claim to know Ed, but to the extent that I can be a judge of character based on limited public interaction, and what has been alleged by his former band members, friends and some business associates, and what is alleged in legal actions filed in real courts of law (which must have a legitimate factual and legal basis upon which to state a claim), I suspect that he is not as nice as he tends to portray to fans as a marketing image. Anyone who is still a big fan of Ed just can't or won't see it.

As much as I normally want Nick to stfu all the time, I would love to hear him flesh out what he means when he says "Ed's no angel" and "Ed's not perfect" ... he's said both and ever since SOY they are the closest he's ever come to anything negative about Ed, he uses them as blanket statements... but I'd like to know where he draws those conclusions from.

I wonder if he doesn't believe it, but says it in some feeble attempt to try and seem non bias. Or does he mean in the past Ed has been no good (hence the soy tantrums) but now he's wonderful in every way? He said it in the present tense ... so surely even through his love of Ed, there has to be something inside of Nick that see's the negative parts of Ed? Hell I can see the negative aspects to CCP. Or at least CT. But, what Nick means by being no angel would be interesting, assuming of course like I say, that it isn't just a cover up.
Maybe Ed hit on Nick's wife like he is famous for doing but Nick didn't have the balls to stand up to him?

But you're right Fish, Ed put on the nice guy act, all smiles, never a problem in the world, lives in happy land. But with so many examples of his shittery, examples we can all see online, in videos, from eye witness accounts such as yours and Jayda's, I've had my own too, from people the words of those who know him best and friends who know the people who know him best ... where there's smoke there's fire and there is so much bad stuff about Eddie K out there that it all has to stem from somewhere, these aren't all just wild stabs in the dark at made up fictitious stories about him, they're based on real things we can see and show examples of. It's not all some conspiracy to bring him down, that would just be, dare I say it, reeedick. No, the mere fact there are SO many damning examples of Ed's bad character just leads me to believe that his Mr Nice Guy act is just that, an act.
