The Songwriting of Live Options

In Ed's head, he is talking about how he has changed from rock and roll excess to finding god/family. Many of us here twist it into him singing about how he has changed to become a guy who backstabs his friends CC&P. This is probably the clearest way I can explain it here for someone who is new to the board

CCP had no problem taking 75 percent song writing credit and money for songs that Ed basically wrote 100 percent himself. I think that is a pretty crummy thing to do to a friend.

Longtime, devoted fans were ready to give Live one more chance but when BOP arrived with first single Heaven, everyone knew that the Live they came to enjoy and love so much was gone. To even the most devoted fans, Live was done. Interestingly, with BOP Live did manage to attract a new soft rock audience and with appearances on shows like Ellen they became recognized as safe rock for soccer moms and housewives (and Nick).

When BOP was played in my ears the first time, i knew it was over. Not even Like I Do, saved us as the first single, the one Ed promised would be.....on Fla Radio,



he chose poppy shit over the real foundations of Live.
