In Ed's head, he is talking about how he has changed from rock and roll excess to finding god/family. Many of us here twist it into him singing about how he has changed to become a guy who backstabs his friends CC&P. This is probably the clearest way I can explain it here for someone who is new to the board smile.gif

CCP had no problem taking 75 percent song writing credit and money for songs that Ed basically wrote 100 percent himself. I think that is a pretty crummy thing to do to a friend.

Secret Samadhi charted #1 due to the overwhelming success of Throwing Copper(especially Lightning Crashes which just exploded). The album itself was a disappointment to many fans(not me) and began Live's slide down off the mainstream.

SS charted at #1 thanks to the success of lead single Lakini's Juice. It's a wonder it did as well as it did. Fans said what the fuck is he singing about. CCP carried Ed's ass that entire album. With lyrics like "everybody's here, puke stinks like beer" or 'put another bagel in the oven", that album would have likely even done better as an instrumental.
