QUOTE(Badman @ Nov 27 2012, 11:49 am) *

In Ed's head, he is talking about how he has changed from rock and roll excess to finding god/family. Many of us here twist it into him singing about how he has changed to become a guy who backstabs his friends CC&P. This is probably the clearest way I can explain it here for someone who is new to the board smile.gif

CCP had no problem taking 75 percent song writing credit and money for songs that Ed basically wrote 100 percent himself. I think that is a pretty crummy thing to do to a friend.

P.S. - one other thing. Two Live albums topped the charts at #1. Throwing Copper and Secret Samadhi. We know that Ed could not claim sole responsibility for either of those albums. Chad and Ed worked together on much of Throwing Copper with substantial input from CG and PD. And Secret Samadhi? What about the fact that they all went down to Jamaica and got high and went nuts and worked out those songs together and made the album we have today. We all KNOW that happened. That is FACT.

What happens to a band when they have two number 1 albums and tour the world as a band? They get a big fan base that will buy their albums and request radio spins. And then those royalties have value. So how did those Live royalties get any of that value that Nick and Ed covet so much? From the foundation of great music created on the first several albums that all four of them created.

What we've got here is typical lead singer syndrome. Wah! It was all me. I deserve more because it was all me. Those guys didn't do anything. I should get all the money and all the credit. And Nick is like Gollum and Ed's success and validation is the Ring to him.

Where is Ed now? I am glad that CCP have banished him to a death sentence of isolation with his pathetic, naive, swooning fans.

BAM! That just happened.
