In Ed's head, he is talking about how he has changed from rock and roll excess to finding god/family. Many of us here twist it into him singing about how he has changed to become a guy who backstabs his friends CC&P. This is probably the clearest way I can explain it here for someone who is new to the board

CCP had no problem taking 75 percent song writing credit and money for songs that Ed basically wrote 100 percent himself. I think that is a pretty crummy thing to do to a friend.

Again, did Ed write the parts for all instruments? Why can't you understand this (or really, why do you choose to be purposefully obtuse?)

CAG wrote his drum parts. PD wrote his bass parts. They wrote part of the song. That is, by literal definition of words (something we know you have problems with) "involved with the writing process of a song".

Everytime these songs are played in a Ford commercial or whatever, it's CAGs drum arrangement and PDs basslines, that they wrote respectively, that are featured just as it is Ed's lyrics.

This doesn't even account for their input on song arrangement of which we have video evidence of occurring.
