Time to honor my favorite trolls on here and start a new thread about their favorite person Ed.

Today's little factoid - Ed and the 100k lead singer bonus.

Did it really come to this? You're damn right it did. Now it could be argued that it was a "mischaracterization" and in fact Ed did argue with that exact basis in the interview conducted in this YouTube video series:

Hi - I'm Ed and I'm uncomfortable with this line of questioning

Sure, the request might have been mischaracterized as Ed argues, but could it also be true that the request was based simply out of greed or even a love for money? Yes, one wonders..

Okay, I watched the first interview and I'm going to defend Ed for a moment. Please be aware that I am in the same boat as most of you; completely disappointed over the last few albums and excited to hear new live with CS.

But, on the lead singer bonus - did he not say during the interview that he had booked studio time for his new album, and that Pinkpop was a last-minute thing, and that he had to cover that expense? Would it have been fair to Ed to have to pay for the studio time and not use it, and whatever other similar costs he incurred by making such a big last-minute schedule change?

I think it's possible that his only crimes with this particular issue were poor communication and not being tactful. If this were really the case, and he communicated it clearly to all parties involved, maybe that issue could've been avoided.
